ANZ Banking Group up 15c to $28.15, F&C IT Plc up 14c to $5.98, F&P Healthcare up 4c to $3.19, Fletcher Building up 5c to $7.80, Guinness Peat Group up 2c to 83c, Infratil up 4c to $1.59, NewOceana up 40c to $2.50, Telstra up 10c to $4.35, Tower up 12c to $1.94 and Westpac up 27c to $30.77.
AMP down 10c to $7.80, Auckland Airport down 1c to $1.86, Contact Energy down 5c to $5.95, Delegat's Group down 4c to $2.36, Goodman Fielder down 3c to $1.95, National Property Trust down 1c to 46c, Property For Industry down 1c to $1.16, Sky City Entertainment down 2c to $3.32, Steel & Tube Holdings down 2c to $2.83 and Telecom down 2c to $2.42.
The dollar is buying 72.59 US cents, 78.48 Australian cents, 48.04 euro cents, 63.26 yen and 43.46 pence.
The 90 day bank rate is 2.82 percent and the TWI is at 64.23.
