Tasmanian Treasurer Michael Aird says he is pleased with latest retail trade figures which put Tasmania above the national average.
Mr Aird says the Australian Bureau of Statistics March data shows a record high for the state of $426 million in trend terms.
He says the increase for Tasmania was 0.1 per cent more than the national average of 0.2 per cent.
