Local market rises on resources strength

The Australian share market is higher with stronger metals prices buoying the miners.
About 1:00pm AEST the All Ordinaries index was up 46 points to 5,806.
The ASX 200 had climbed 41 points to 5,742.
Newmont Mining was up 4.8 per cent to $4.79.
And the Australian dollar was trading at 93.84 US cents.
