Figures from First National Real Estate show while early October reflected the usual school holiday slowdown in listing and sales activity, the situation has since picked up.
Group general manager John Stewart says Invercargill is leading the listings charge.
He says Whangamata, as with many holiday and retirement markets, has been virtually inactive for the past 18 months, but that has now changed.
